The conference’s dual themes, “The Mediterranean in World History” and “Africa in World History,” reflect Morocco’s special geographic and cultural position in world history. To submit a panel or paper proposal, please visit <a href="http://www.thewha.org/">http://www.thewha.org</a>. Proposals are due by February 1, 2005, to allow time for notification and travel planning. <br />Located in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, Ifrane is about 100 kilometers (62 miles) from the historic walled city of Fez. Al Akhawayn is an English-speaking university.
